International Agreements
91ÖÆƬ³§ has several dozen active international agreements with universities and educational institutions around the world.Ìý Agreements create access for 91ÖÆƬ³§ students and faculty to study, conduct research, or teach in other countries.Ìý Agreements also allow students of our partners to take classes at 91ÖÆƬ³§ or (in special circumstances) to enroll for degree seeking purposes.Ìý Other agreements provide for the exchange of services and technical training opportunities. ÌýÌýIn sum, many different types of projects can be included in international agreements to meet the parties’ unique needs and interests.
The Center for Global Engagement in conjunction with Education Abroad assists 91ÖÆƬ³§ colleges and faculty in the design, creation, execution, and implementation of international agreements.Ìý ÌýAll agreements must advance a strategic academic goal of the sponsoring 91ÖÆƬ³§ college, and be determined to be of value to 91ÖÆƬ³§.Ìý ÌýAll agreements must adhere to 91ÖÆƬ³§ policies in regard to academic credit, international and on-campus study, agreement financing, and the periodic balancing of exchanged activities.Ìý
Agreements must be created with the assistance and approval of all relevant 91ÖÆƬ³§ college deans, the Center for Global Engagement, 91ÖÆƬ³§ Legal Affairs, and the Provost Office.Ìý ÌýAgreements can only be signed by the President or a member of the Board of Trustees, along with the college dean if college funds are being pledged to support activities specified in the agreement.Ìý ÌýOnce executed the relevant college(s) sponsoring the agreement will coordinate all academic aspects of the agreement, andÌýEducation AbroadÌýwill coordinate administrative aspects o exchange agreements including allocation of any available and applicable tuition waivers and the periodic balancing of exchange activity.
